This summer Peet Junior High will offer Read180 to a select group of students. Our intent is to support reading literacy development in preparation of the 2016 - 2017 school year. It is our hope that students involved with the Read 180 program will lead to improvement in his/her reading comprehension. The intent of the program is for students to continue to make advances with his/her reading and narrow the gap with his/her peers. Read 180 will be offered June 13-30, Monday through Thursday (8:00 – 9:30 AM) or (10:00 – 11:30AM). Sign up for the sessions is on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation is available if needed. Information will be sent to a select number of students. In addition to Summer Read 180 a remedial math class is planned. The Summer Math 180 program will be offered June 13-30 and will follow the Read 180 schedule. Two sessions will be offered Monday -Thursday. Information will be sent to a select number of students. BOOST will run August 8 - 11, 2016 Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The intent of the BOOST Program is to give students the opportunity to visit and learn about Peet Junior High prior to their arrival for the 2016 - 2017 school year this fall. An informational brochure will be mailed home to all incoming seventh graders. Registration may be completed by email or by returning the registration portion of the brochure. SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: The Peet Office will be opened June 2 – June 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm (or by appointment). We will be closed the month of July, with offices re-opening August 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
PEET JR HIGH REGISTATION INFORMATION: Registration is scheduled on Thursday, August 11 from 1:00-4:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm. Registration prior to August 11 cannot be accommodated as necessary staff and materials are not yet available. Students who are unable to register on August 11 may do so on Wednesday, August 24 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the main office at Peet. NOTE: We will follow the schedule listed below as a way to respect everyone’s time. Accommodations will be made with multiple family members.
